Big fan of guest posting, between that and commenting on related sites it’s been my only traffic driver and way to get backlinks. Worked pretty well.

You see I came here from another post on another blog that led me to this blog, but on another page, then to a further page on that blog that linked me back this page. I think. Ranking in search engines does not necessarily mean that that you have to have a good pagerank. You will often find a lot of website which do not have good pagerank and still ranks on the first pages of search engines.

Well you both are right. I think we need a proper mix of marketing and content to make the blog successful. Marketing never helps you if there is no good content in your site.And if you have great content you do hell lot of marketing to attract readers.
